On behalf of the Anchorage Air Cargo Association, thank you for your interest in the air cargo element of Alaska's transportation industry.

The Anchorage Air Cargo Association promotes the following:

• Identifies and gives status to the air cargo industry as a whole and to represent its desires and best interests to Alaska.
• Promote the exchange of common ideas and solutions to problems.
• Present programs of educational value relating to the air cargo arena.
• Support scholarship opportunities through the Jim Snead Memorial Scholarship Fund.
• Collectively grow awareness of aviation history in Alaska through support of the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum.   

Monthly Events

On Tuesday, the 22^ndof May the Air Cargo Association will have their LAST luncheon (BBQ) of the season and it isone of our most important events.

 Almarene Sneed, on behalf of the Jim Sneed Memorial Scholarship Program will be present to award four very worthy young people scholarships in Jim’s honor.  This is an extremely important event to the Sneed Family and the family of the Air Cargo Association.

Additionally, Oren Hudson has agreed to share a few flying stories with us to start the summer out just right.  Oren is 92, has a keen mind and whit  and has a lot of interesting experiences to share.  IT IS SURE TO BE FUN!

 On top of all that….it’s a BBQ. 

 It is so important that we have a good showing for this very important event.  Last month we had about 12 members so up.   Yes, we are strongly encouraging you (begging really) to please put this on your calendar and RSVP today so we know who plans to attend.

Additional Events & News 

•  Jim Snead Memorial SCHOLARSHIP - 2011 applications are available on line.  Applications must be submitted by the May 1, 2011 deadline.  Recepients will be announced at the May 24th Air Cargo luncheon.  Winners are strongly encouraged to attend.

• 2011 Annual Membership Applications Available On-Line.  Membership is good for one year from Jan 1 - December 31.

• Pay for Luncheon's On-Line.  Discounts available to members.

• Industry Luncheons are typically the last Tuesday of every month at the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum.  Please check above for date changes
