On behalf of the Anchorage Air Cargo Association, thank you for your interest in the air cargo element of Alaska's transportation industry.

The Anchorage Air Cargo Association promotes the following:

  • Identifies and gives status to the air cargo industry as a whole and to represent its desires and best interests to Alaska.
  • Promote the exchange of common ideas and solutions to problems.
  • Present programs of educational value relating to the air cargo arena.
  • Support scholarship opportunities through the Jim Snead Memorial Scholarship Fund.
  • Collectively grow awareness of aviation history in Alaska through support of the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum.

  • January 31, 2012, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at the Alaska Aviation Museum. Linda  Leary, President of Carlile Transportation will be our guest speaker.  She will be sharing with the group her perspecitive "from the past to the present.  From road to air.  What does air cargo and freight transportation have in common.  The changes that we have seen over the years and how they too are similar.  Click here to Register today
  • December 8, 2011 from 530 -730 PM - The Holiday Social
  • November 29, 2011, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. at the Alaska Aviation Museum. Alaska Airlines will be the guest speaker and will be doing their annual, State of the Airline, address
  • October 25, 2011, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm. at the Alaska Aviation Museum (4721 Aircraft Drive, Anchorage). No one likes a disaster BUT, are you ready if one would happen?  Is your company ready?  Are you personally prepared?  Ready When the Time Comes is an American Red Cross workplace volunteer program that utilizes the valuable human resources of local businesses throughout Alaska. The Red Cross trains employees from partnering corporations and mobilizes them as a community-based volunteer force when disaster strikes. The Ready When the Time Comes program was developed in 2001 as a partnership with the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago and Grainger, the National founding sponsor of the program. More than 11,000 volunteers from 450 corporations and organizations have been trained.

    Katie Bender, Director of Development & Marketing for the American Red Cross of Alaska along with volunteer Jose Vasquez will be our guest speakers for this month’s luncheon.  Katie, manages the fundraising, marketing and communication programs for the state chapter of the American Red Cross of Alaska.

  • September 27, 2011, from 12:00-1:00 p.m., at the Alaska Aviation Museum (4721 Aircraft Drive, Anchorage).  Joy Journeay, Executive Director of the Alaska Air Carriers, will present an overview of Alaska Air Carrier member benefits and legislative priorities for 2012, to include the following:Adequate Protection of, and Planning for, Airports in Alaska, Availability of Adequate Weather Information, Government Aircraft in Competition with Private Carriers, USPS Mail Issues and Hub Expansion in Alaska, Military Operation Area Expansion, Deterioration of Airports in Alaska and the State Transportation Fund.    Click here to Register today

  •  Jim Snead Memorial SCHOLARSHIP - 2011 applications are available on line.  Applications must be submitted by the May 1, 2011 deadline.  Recepients will be announced at the May 24th Air Cargo luncheon.  Winners are strongly encouraged to attend.

  • 2011 Annual Membership Applications Available On-Line.  Membership is good for one year from Jan 1 - December 31.

  • Pay for Luncheon's On-Line.  Discounts available to members.

  • Industry Luncheons are typically the last Tuesday of every month at the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum.  Please check above for date changes
